Karviaisten Farm Apple Pie
Non-vegan
Ingredients
- 1.5 dl sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 50 g butter
- 2.5 dl broad bean flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 2 dl milk
- Apples (enough to cover the cake mix with apple slices when spread in the baking tray)
- Sugar (to sprinkle before baking)
Method
- Whip the sugar and eggs into a foam.
- Melt the butter and add the melted butter into the sugar and eggs mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the broad bean flour and baking powder.
- Add the milk into the flour and let the mixture swell for 5 minutes.
- Combine the flour mixture with the egg-sugar foam mixture.
- Line an oven tray with baking paper and pour the mixture evenly across it.
- Add sliced apples to cover the mixture.
- Sprinkle the apples with sugar.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes at 200 degrees C (non-fan assisted oven).
You can replace the apples with blueberries, redcurrants or rhubarb.
