Voima-Papu Tomato & Broad Bean Pasta Sauce

Ingredients
- 500 g of your choice of dry pasta
- 500 g organic tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons Voima-Papu roasted, ground broad beans
- 2 onions
- 3 tbsp virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp herb salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp tomato puree or ketchup
- 3-4 dl oatmeal cream
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp organic honey or other sweetening
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- (water)
Method
- Chop the onions.
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan.
- Cook the onions until soft and translucent.
- Sauté for a moment and add dry spices (herb salt, garlic powder), tomato puree/ketchup and ground broad beans.
- Mix together the tomato sauce and other sauce ingredients (soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, lemon juice).
- Add to the onions. Do not add the cream yet.
- Stir and simmer slowly under the lid for 40 minutes.
- Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. However, leave a little of the cooking water.
- Add cream to the sauce and stir. If the sauce feels too thick, add a little water.
- Take the sauce off the stove and mix it smooth with a hand blender.
- Finally, add the cooked pasta and stir. Allow to stand a moment before serving.
- Serve sprinkled with fresh mild chili and nutritional yeast flakes.
